Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling based on department needs; no block scheduling

Highlights:

• 101-bed emergency department at a Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• High-volume ED with over 100,000 patient visits annually serving a diverse, multi-cultural community
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical cases; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Strong support staff including techs, unit clerks on all shifts, and dedicated cardiac monitoring team
• Cerner EMR system with modern equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Float only within ED sections – no floating outside the department

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center or high-volume ED strongly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work in all sections of the Emergency Department
• Commitment to patient experience standards including AIDET protocols and respectful communication
