Job Opportunity – Ultrasound Technician – Alabama

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Alabama

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with call coverage responsibilities

Highlights:

• Perform a diverse range of diagnostic imaging including abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms
• Proficiency required in small parts scanning (thyroid, breast, and scrotum) and ultrasound-guided procedures including biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations
• Opportunity to expand skills with echocardiography; training available for candidates with foundational ultrasound experience
• Consistent weekday schedule with predictable hours supporting work-life balance
• Work under the direction of experienced radiologists with established departmental protocols
• Provide critical diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatient populations

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited AMA-approved ultrasound technology program
• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or RDCS certification required
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) registration and/or RDMS credentials
• Current State License as a general radiographer (if applicable)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Echo tech experience preferred but not required; willingness to train in echocardiography is a plus
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation
