Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / LDRP Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Coastal North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 9-bed LDRP unit with approximately 800 births annually, serving patients 36 weeks gestation and up
• Couplet care model with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio (mother/baby pairs)
• EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication dispensing
• Contract length: 13-26 weeks available with 32 hours of paid orientation
• Supportive birthing environment with nitrous oxide, birthing tub, birthing balls, and peanut balls available
• 2 mandatory call shifts per 6-week schedule; may float to assist other units as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Current certifications: BLS, AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced), and NRP
• Demonstrated competency in LDRP, Mother/Baby care, fetal monitoring (external and internal), sterile speculum exams, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, breastfeeding/lactation support, and circulating cesarean sections
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Annual flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
