Job Opportunity – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RN – Western North Carolina

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; patient ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:4 based on patient acuity; rotating shifts available; floating to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby as needed

  • 51-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at an 815-bed acute care regional referral center
  • Work with a collaborative team of 120 staff members including RNs, respiratory therapists, and charge nurses
  • Cerner EMR system in use; modern state-of-the-art patient tower with advanced equipment and technology
  • 13-week contract supporting a highly regarded children's hospital with 30+ pediatric subspecialists
  • Navy blue scrubs; detail-oriented and organized team culture with supportive management
  • Recognized nationally for excellence in neonatal and pediatric care

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience strongly preferred
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Stable and NIC-RNC certifications preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to float to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby units as needed
