12-hour shifts available. Standard nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity. Weekends and on-call available upon approval. Floating may include high-risk maternal-fetal units and neonatal intensive care.Highlights:
- Join a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit within a Magnet-designated, Level II trauma center recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals- Support diverse obstetric procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, cerclage placement, dilation and curettage, and cesarean hysterectomy- Utilize modern technology including Baxter infusion pumps, Phillips electronic fetal monitoring, and Cerner EMR with Fetal Link- Work alongside a collaborative 120-member nursing team including charge nurses, patient care technicians, certified surgical technicians, and RNs- Scrubs provided; supportive, team-oriented environment- Opportunity to provide immediate newborn care and support high-risk obstetric patientsRequirements:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required- High-risk obstetric experience required- Immediate newborn care experience required- Current certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), BLS or ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring- Circulating experience preferred but not required- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personalityWhy It's a Great Opportunity:
