Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, day shift. Patient ratio 1:5-6. Weekend requirement of 12-16 shifts per contract (flexible based on discussion). Manager-driven scheduling.

Highlights:

• Neurosurgical procedures and neuro-focused diagnoses on a 36-bed medical-surgical unit
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• 13 to 26-week contract length accepted with flexibility for blocked scheduling requests
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, respiratory services, and more
• Two unit-based orientation shifts following hospital orientation
• Float requirement within facility; may be assigned to storm/hurricane teams as part of emergency preparedness

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Active North Carolina or Compact state nursing license
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Neurology experience strongly preferred
• Skills in telemetry, IV management, stroke care (CVA), and non-invasive airway management preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability and willingness to work during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations
