Job Opportunity – Registered Respiratory Therapist – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (night shift). Weekend coverage required. Floating between campuses may be required based on operational needs.

Highlights:

• Work at a large academic medical center with diverse patient populations including adults and geriatrics
• Utilize Epic charting system and GE ventilators (Hamilton preferred)
• Engage with complex case mix including COPD, asthma, and cancer patients across Med/Surg floors and PCU units
• Previous travel experience preferred but not mandatory
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Parking options available on-site with varying pricing structures to accommodate different budgets

Requirements:

• Active Ohio State Respiratory Therapist license in hand prior to submission
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred; CRT accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• High School Diploma and College Diploma/transcripts from an accredited program required
• Proficiency in adult critical care, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, arterial blood gas interpretation, tracheostomy care, and related respiratory interventions
• Experience with aerosol therapy, inhaled medications, pulmonary hygiene, and ventilator weaning protocols
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or director
