Job Summary
Start Date: August 3, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Rotating weekends, 24/7 coverage, split floor plan with 2 staff per shift
Highlights
- Dedicated rapid response role supporting an 815-bed regional healthcare facility
- No assigned patient load – float throughout facility responding to critical situations including cardiac arrests, trauma, stroke, and STEMI workups
- Work alongside experienced core staff members providing rapid intervention across all units
- Utilize Cerner EMR system in a Level II trauma center environment
- Support a comprehensive facility including the region's only children's hospital and advanced cardiovascular services
- Recognized nationally for quality by U.S. News & World Report, Truven Health Analytics, and Healthgrades
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of ICU experience required
- Medical ICU background highly preferred
- Emergency Department experience preferred
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Dedicated rapid response role experience strongly recommended
- Current North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain
