Job Opportunity – Operating Room Surgical Technologist – Pennsylvania

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. 13-week assignment with 40 hours of orientation. Weekend coverage required (13 shifts per contract). No on-call or holiday requirement. Floating required between multiple facilities and services within the main operating room.

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center with 32 operating rooms serving diverse patient populations including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• High-acuity case mix including cardiac surgery, liver transplants, craniotomies, spinal cases, and orthopedic trauma
• Both scrub and circulating responsibilities required across multiple surgical specialties
• Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
• Scrubs provided; first-time travelers accepted with appropriate clinical experience
• 1:1 patient ratio for focused, quality surgical care

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required
• Level I Trauma experience and certification required
• Previous charge experience required
• BLS certification required; Trauma Level I course and certificate required
• Strong experience with cardiac, liver transplant, craniotomy, and spinal surgical cases required
• Scrub experience is mandatory – both scrub and circulating skills required
• Experience with orthopedic fractures strongly preferred
• Valid state licensure or certification required at time of application
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting and compliance requirements within specified timeframes
