Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Michigan

Location: Bay City, Michigan

Schedule: Float pool assignment with every other weekend requirement

Requirements:

• Active Michigan RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• Willingness to work in a float pool environment across multiple units
• Strong ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize early signs of deterioration
• Experience with medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care management

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and monitor condition trends throughout hospitalization
• Prepare, administer, and chart prescribed medications including IV therapy, and manage wound care or specialized equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and post-discharge instructions
• Recognize early warning signs of medical deterioration and take swift action to stabilize patients
