Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular ICU – Kansas**Start Date:** September 28, 2026**Location:** Overland Park, Kansas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts), 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; 48 hours guaranteed with option for additional hours**Highlights:**- 10-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit designated as a Unit of Distinction with exceptional quality and patient experience standards- 2:1 patient ratios with total care support including unit secretaries and dedicated technical staff- Comprehensive cardiovascular case mix including open heart procedures, ECMO cannulation, IABP, and Impella support- Advanced technology including Alaris IV pumps, GE bedside monitors, and state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment- Meditech documentation system with streamlined workflows- Supportive team environment with experienced ICU staff and opportunities for charge nurse roles on night shift**Requirements:**- Active Kansas RN license or ability to obtain- ACLS/BLS or ALS/BLS certification required- Experienced ICU nursing background essential- Strong competency in telemetry monitoring, pressor and positive inotropic support, pacemaker management, chest tube care, and Cath/EP Lab recovery- Experience with pericardial drains and frequent site/vital sign assessments required- CVICU experience strongly preferred- Charge nurse experience highly desirable for night shift positions**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This is an excellent opportunity to join a distinguished cardiovascular intensive care team committed to the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
