Job Opportunity – Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU) – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day/evening rotation, every other weekend required, some holidays required (including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). Four 12-hour shifts per week available upon request. 2:1 patient ratio. Unit census of 23 patients with 24 beds.

• Participate in evidence-based practice, research studies, and serve as emergency responders throughout the hospital
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and social services

Requirements:

• Wisconsin RN license or active Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care ICU experience required (Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Must pass telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria (100% accuracy on lethal rhythms, no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart blocks, 80% or higher overall passing score)
• Floating to other units as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility cannot be considered

Patient Population & Diagnoses:

• Adult and geriatric patient populations
• ARDS, ECMO, post-code care, sepsis, GI bleeds, post-operative management, liver transplant, vascular surgery, and trauma patients
• Advanced critical care skills including arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
