Job Opportunity – Respiratory Therapist (NICU) – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Travel assignment with flexibility for local candidates; unit serves 40+ patients daily in a 50-bed Level III NICU environment

Highlights:

• Work in a Level III NICU with a daily census of approximately 40 neonates
• Gain experience with advanced respiratory modalities including Nitric Oxide (iNO), Oscillator Ventilation, NAVA, Bubble CPAP, and High-Flow Nasal Cannula
• Epic charting system utilized for comprehensive documentation
• Opportunity to assist with high-risk deliveries and inter-departmental neonatal transports
• May float to other facility locations as needed to support respiratory services
• Travel and local candidates welcome; former employees eligible after 6-month separation

Requirements:

• Active Ohio Respiratory Therapy License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• CRT or RRT Credential required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification required
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• NICU experience required
• High School and College diplomas/transcripts required
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Nitric Oxide (iNO) therapy
• Oscillator Ventilation and High-Frequency Oscillator experience
• NAVA (Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist)
• Bubble CPAP and CPAP/BiPAP modalities
• High-Flow Nasal Cannula management
• Neonatal Ventilator Management (Pressure/Volume Ventilators)
• Experience assisting with high-risk deliveries and intubations
• Neonatal transport experience (inter-departmental and ambulance)
