Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed weekly; overtime after 48 hours; every other weekend required; flexibility needed across all ED sections

• 101-bed Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with over 100,000 annual visits
• Patient ratios: typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Cerner EMR system with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
• 6-week assignment with rapid response support; no special scheduling accommodations
• Support staff includes techs, unit clerks, and dedicated cardiac monitoring personnel
• Department recognized for strong teamwork culture and service to a diverse, multi-cultural community representing over 120 languages

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Level 2 trauma center and high-volume ED experience (100,000+ visits annually) required
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department (no external floating required)
