Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 6 weekend days (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week period. Unit operates 24/7 with day and night shift availability. Patient ratios: 1:3-4 for step-down patients, 1:4-6 for medical-surgical patients.

• Mixed acuity 39-bed unit combining 23-bed progressive care step-down and 16-bed medical-surgical unit
• Diverse case mix including tracheostomy care, chest tube management, cardiac drips, stable ventilated patients, and wound care
• Cerner EMR system utilized across the facility
• Supportive team environment with dedicated charge nurses and patient care technicians on every shift
• Float opportunities to other medical-surgical and progressive care units for skill development
• Contract length to be discussed with qualified applicants

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Experience working with tracheostomy patients is required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Previous experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Flexibility and high level of clinical competence essential
