Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Role: Charge RN / Stroke Coordinator (Travel RN, Travel Nursing)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,440–$2,570/week
- Setting: Stroke Coordinator Unit / Stroke Unit (adult patient population)
- On-Site: Yes
- Travel Assignment: Yes (Travel RN)
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Patient Ratio: Days – 5
Job Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission) — required for California nursing jobs and travel RN placements
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- ACLS certification (AHA required)
- NIHSS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
- 7-year work history verification required
- Must provide accurate work history and certifications at submission
- Travelers may float to other locations if census is low
Responsibilities
- Coordinate stroke care and assist with survey readiness, ensuring adherence to stroke protocols and quality metrics
- Serve as Charge RN: lead, mentor, and support nursing staff on the stroke unit
- Ensure compliance with stroke protocols, performance improvement initiatives, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, rehab, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize Epic charting system for clinical documentation and handoffs
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules via e-learning
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients in the Stroke Coordinator unit
