Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 – $2,090 (Travel RN competitive pay)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Setting: Telemetry Unit / cardiac telemetry
• Shift: 12-hour nights (1845 – 0715)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Location: Liberty, MO 64068 (Kansas City metro)
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Yes (unless requested in RTO)
• Floating Requirements: Yes — ability to float to other units as needed
• Orientation: Comprehensive 5-day orientation

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry RN experience required — cardiac monitoring and telemetry nursing experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Active RN license
• BLS & ACLS certifications required
• Nicotine-free facility
• Experience with Altera Sunrise EMR (formerly Allscripts) is not required
• Ability to float to other units as needed (hospital RN flexibility)
• Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• New graduates are not accepted for this position

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients on the Telemetry unit, providing continuous cardiac monitoring and timely interventions
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed in accordance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient information accurately and timely in the EMR system (Altera Sunrise noted)
• Provide patient and family education, support, and discharge teaching related to cardiac care and telemetry monitoring
• Float to other units as required by facility needs while maintaining high standards of acute care nursing
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, including nicotine-free requirements
