About the Role
Join a dynamic cardiac care team in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab in Dallas, Texas (zip code 75235). This travel healthcare job focuses on cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology procedures in an interventional cardiology environment. Ideal candidates are ARRT- or RCIS-certified Cath Lab Techs with critical care or prior Cath/EP experience.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 – $2,670
- Location: Dallas, TX 75235 — hospital setting, cardiac cath lab
- Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Labs, Interventional Cardiology
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 6, 2026 – August 5, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts; 40 hours guaranteed per week
- On-Call: Rotating after-hours call with required Sunday rotation (max 30-minute commute)
- Weekend Schedule: Determined by facility
- Openings: 3 Cath Lab Technologist positions
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in Special Procedures, Cath Lab, or EP cases
- ARRT (Radiography) or RCIS certification required
- ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)
- State of Texas Medical Radiologic License
- Experience in critical care (ICU/ED) or prior Cath/EP Lab experience preferred
- Previous travel healthcare experience highly preferred
- Submit resume, cardiac cath lab skills checklist, and two supervisory references from the last year
- Proof of taxable address (Driver's License, utility bill, lease, etc.)
- Must disclose any prior employment history at Parkland in your profile
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specialized cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, and electrophysiology procedures
- Serve as a lead worker and clinical resource to physicians, nurses, and tech staff
- Assist with patient identification, preparation, draping, and procedural room setup
- Select and operate appropriate imaging and monitoring equipment; maintain and troubleshoot cath lab devices
- Record preventive maintenance and ensure equipment calibration and safety
- Follow physician orders and facility protocols to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with the intra-procedure team to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
