Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,210 – $2,330
- Location: San Francisco, CA 94109 (San Francisco healthcare / California nursing jobs)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), weekend rotation required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel Nurse
- Orientation: 16 hours
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (required at time of submission)
- BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS — AHA certifications required and in hand at time of submission
- NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience — must have strong acute care and triage skills
- Travel nursing experience required (Bay Area travel nurse experience a plus)
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Willingness to float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units when not utilized in ED holding
- Ability to provide 7-year work history verification
- Available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department and ED holding areas as an ER RN / Emergency Department nurse
- Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, Foley catheter care, wound dressings, and medication administration
- Monitor and document patient assessments, changes in condition, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team
- Utilize tele monitoring, ventilators, and follow safe medication administration practices
- Float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units as needed and provide clinical support across units
- Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and provide patient advocacy
- Collaborate closely with Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy to ensure coordinated acute care
- Maintain professional appearance, meet documentation deadlines, accept constructive feedback, and take initiative in follow-up care
