Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Location: Naples, FL 34119 — Southwest Florida travel nursing job
- Setting: Operating Room (OR) / Perioperative unit
- Shift: 10-hour days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), with call required
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 – $1,840 (Travel RN pay)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- End Date: August 17, 2026
- Employment Type: Travel / Contract
- Floating: May be required to float between campuses as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience — strengths in Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, and Urology
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Experience with Cerner EMR required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Ability to take call as scheduled
- Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary surgical teams
- Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in planning and delivering perioperative care
- Ensure timely case preparation, supply management, and effective communication with patients and families
- Update physician preference cards, assist during surgical cases, and support robotic and specialty procedures as needed
- Supervise and mentor personnel delivering patient care in the OR
- Maintain compliance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies
- Float between campuses as required to support surgical services
