- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 - $2,770
- Location: Winston-Salem, NC (27103) — local travel radiology job in North Carolina
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
- Position: Travel Radiologic Technologist / Interventional Radiology (IR Tech)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week (Mon–Fri), staggered starts between 07:00 and 08:30
- Call Requirement: Rotating primary and backup call (primary call one day every 4 weeks; weekend coverage every 5th–6th weekend; backup call ~7 days every 9 weeks)
- Orientation: Hospital orientation during week one; availability required for daily classes
- Scrubs: Provided
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent scrub experience in Interventional Radiology, including neuro and stroke procedures (IR Tech experience)
- Travel experience required — not accepting first-time travelers
- Experience operating Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment required (Acuson ultrasound preferred)
- Inpatient hospital experience, PACS, and contrast procedures required
- Current ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification and BLS required
- NC state license or Compact license required at time of start
- Ability to rotate call and work weekends/evenings as needed (hospital call rotation)
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- Experience in outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma centers, teaching hospitals, and ablation procedures preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of interventional radiology procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, peripheral and central vascular studies, venous access, and neurovascular interventions
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 13–17 patients (primarily adults and geriatrics, with occasional adolescents)
- Maintain proficiency in neuro and stroke interventions and IR best practices
- Operate and troubleshoot Siemens and Philips imaging equipment; Acuson ultrasound use preferred
- Establish and maintain sterile field and proper scrub technique for IR cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospital teams (physicians, nursing, anesthesiology) to ensure optimal patient care and workflow
- Participate in hospital orientation, complete required modules, and comply with facility policies and call schedules
