Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46804 (Fort Wayne healthcare jobs / travel CST jobs)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
• Shift: 4x10 hour days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM); on-call as needed
• Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), 4 ORs – cardiac surgery focus
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel surgical tech / travel CST)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience (cardiac surgery preferred)
• Strong cardiac surgery skills required; thoracic da Vinci/robotic experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Must be willing to float to main OR if needed
• Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from facility

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical field and maintain a sterile environment for cardiovascular procedures
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, handling supplies, and anticipating needs during cardiac and thoracic cases
• Support OR turnover to ensure efficient case flow across CVOR suites
• Float to main OR as needed to support broader surgical services
• Participate in on-call rotation when required
