Description
Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech (Travel)
Location
- Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Four 10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- On-call as needed
- Block scheduling accommodations available
- Floating required: may float to main OR if needed
Job Description / Scope of Role
- Work in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR)
- Assist surgeons by preparing the surgical field
- Pass instruments and supplies during surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment
- Assist in turning over OR rooms to keep surgical cases flowing
- Number of ORs in unit: 4
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist, including experience within the last year
Preferred Skills / Systems
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred
This position is a travel assignment requiring flexibility and strong cardiovascular OR technical skills.
