Job Details – Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Springfield, IL 62781 (Springfield, Illinois travel nursing job)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,320 – $2,440 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Shift: 4x10-hour evening shifts (13:00 – 22:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- End Date: August 17, 2026
- On-call: Yes, approximately 1 per week
- Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend shift per month
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated facility
- Charting: Cerner (experience preferred)
- Parking: Free with permit
- Scrubs: Provided
Job Requirements – OR RN / Perioperative Nurse
- Minimum 3 years recent Operating Room RN experience in acute care
- Level I trauma experience required; general OR and trauma cases essential
- Active Illinois RN license (in-hand or in-process at time of application)
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross only)
- Travel nursing experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- CNOR certification preferred (perioperative certification)
- Must live at least 50 miles from facility to qualify
- Availability to work 2 of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps holiday periods
Responsibilities – Perioperative & Surgical Nursing
- Circulate and/or scrub for a wide range of surgical cases: general surgery, trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, bariatrics, urology, and transplant (excluding CV)
- Provide emergency management and participate in code response as needed
- Demonstrate proficiency with specialized OR equipment (electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana tables, etc.)
- Maintain strict infection control, radiation safety, and specimen handling protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation and float within your skill set as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a Magnet facility
- Adhere to universal protocols, hospital policies, and perioperative best practices
