Opportunity:
OT - Hand Therapy
Job Details:
• 8-hour day shifts
• See approximately 12 patients per day
• Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Float to Mission Bay, Mount Zion, or Bayfront facilities as needed
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Hand clinic experience preferred
• Adult outpatient experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Preferred certifications: CHT (Certified Hand Therapist), AOTA Hand/Upper Extremity Certification
• MS/MA Degree preferred
• California Occupational Therapy license required
• Treat conditions including post-op orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures of hand/wrist/elbow, mallet finger, flexor and extensor tendon injuries, brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, CMC arthritis, cubital/carpal/radial tunnel syndrome, and degloving injuries
• Perform custom orthoses fabrication for post-op hand and upper extremity, acute fractures, and post-ORIF
• Implement post-op protocols for orthoses, protection, and exercise
• Provide therapeutic exercise programs and manual therapy
• Operate modalities including ultrasound, TENS, and biofeedback equipment
• Skills include splinting, edema massage, electrical stimulation, kinesiotaping, myofascial release, nerve injury treatment, and adaptive equipment assessment
