CT/Xray Tech Position - Fremont, California

Job Details

Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
• Fluoroscopy license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARRT California and Fluoroscopy license required

Department & Equipment

• Department has 3 scanners
• Equipment: GE scanners preferred
• EMR/PACS system used: Centricity for tracking
• Radiology Supervisor/Lead Tech available 24/7
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
• Radiologist in-house during the day until 6 pm; after hours coverage is external

Job Duties & Experience

• Imaging performed: head, abdomen, pelvis
• Will not assist with procedures
• Experience with GE scanners preferred
• No IV starts required
• Must be flexible and adaptable to department needs

Scheduling & Work Environment

• Shifts: 8-hour shifts starting at 8:00 am, 11:00 am, and 3:30 pm
• Two techs scheduled at all times; never the only tech in-house
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Holiday work requires flexibility
• No call or standby requirements
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs (not provided but some available at hospital)
• Orientation: Tour of unit plus one week of training

• Must be open and willing to work with department needs
• Float coverage includes both Xray and CT areas
