CT Tech Travel Opportunity - Bakersfield, California

Job Summary

A California hospital is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel contract position.

Specialty: CT Tech
Required Years of Experience: 2 years
Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Certifications & Licenses

Active BLS (Basic Life Support)
ARRT (CT) certification
California Radiologic Technologist License (CRT)
Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)

Job Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (Nights 7pm - 5:30am)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday
Call/Standby: No standby required
Dress Code: Teal scrubs (scrubs provided)
Orientation: Department-specific orientation conducted by lead or senior technologist

Department & Equipment

Number of scanners/rooms: 2 (Canon 16 slice & Canon 80 slice)
Average scans per day: 85-100
Imaging/Studies performed: Brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, cryoablation
EMR/PACS systems: Radnet & Merge PACS
Radiologist: In-house during day, on call after hours
IV starts: Not required (IVs started by IR nurse or floor/ED nurses)
Use of Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA): No

Additional Notes

Traveler will be provided with film/radiology badge by the agency
First to float within the department
