Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Licensure: Maryland Medical License required and must be in hand prior to start
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required (will accept first-time travelers)
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- AART Advanced Certification
Job Responsibilities
- Perform CT scan procedures using prescribed techniques
- Review requisitions for completeness (patient name, diagnosis, exam description)
- Adjust equipment and select technical factors for proper radiographic exposure
- Utilize standard positioning techniques for optimal diagnostic images
- Select appropriate CT scan protocols ensuring proper density and contrast
- Perform scanning procedures on various organs to localize pathological sites
- Complete exams timely, order IV and oral contrast in PowerChart
- Document contrast administration and scan paperwork into Cerner
- Complete exam screenings, consents, and paperwork scanning promptly

Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- I9 and E-Verify documentation
- Government-issued photo ID (valid Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Education verification and transcript/diploma preferred
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 30 days of start
- Immunizations and titers:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Fit mask testing (respirator fit test) for new contracts (annual renewal for Aya candidates)
- Stroke and Trauma CEUs as required (must be completed prior to or shortly after start)
- EKG/Dysrhythmia competency exam (Relias or Prophecy platform only, with remediation if needed)
- Medication and unit-specific competency exams as applicable
- Radiation badge provided by facility for Radiology Technologists
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Candidate must complete facility-specific policies and consent forms prior to start
- References and employment verification required (2 professional references within 2 years)
- All certifications must be current and verifiable through primary source verification
