Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
Location: Fremont, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a CT Technologist skilled in CT and X-ray imaging to work in a department with 3 scanners. The role involves performing imaging studies primarily of the head, abdomen, and pelvis. The technologist will not assist with procedures and will float between X-ray and CT as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
- ARRT Certification
- California Fluoroscopy License
- BLS Certification
- Experience with GE scanners preferred
Work Environment & Schedule
- Department has 3 GE scanners
- Two technologists on shift at all times; shifts are 8 hours starting at 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 3:30 PM
- Weekend work every other weekend
- Holiday work requires flexibility
- No call or standby requirements
- No IV starts required
- Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs (not provided but available at hospital)
- Orientation includes a unit tour and one week of training
- Radiologist available in-house during the day until 6 PM; after hours coverage is external
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
- Manager schedules shifts; no self-scheduling or block scheduling
- Must be flexible and adaptable to department needs
Additional Information
- Uses Centricity PACS for tracking
- Typical imaging studies include head, abdomen, and pelvis
- Must be open to working weekends and adjusting schedule accordingly (weekend work weeks include one weekday off)
