Job Opportunity: Manager of Diagnostic Imaging
Location: Santa Cruz, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Manager of Diagnostic Imaging for a travel assignment. The role involves managing diagnostic imaging operations with a focus on CT technology.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging management
- Active BLS certification
- ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications
- Valid California state license for the specialty
Key Responsibilities & Work Environment
- Manage diagnostic imaging services including CT scans
- Oversee 2 scanners: Siemens Sensation 64 & GE 16 Light Speed
- Handle 10-20 scans per shift; evenings are the busiest
- Work schedule includes holidays with hours similar to weekends, rotating shifts
- Night shifts covered by Nighthawk radiology service (radiologist not onsite 24/7)
- Floating within Radiology department
- Orientation includes 3-4 floor-specific shifts
- Patient types include ER patients, virtual colonography, gated procedures, and general CT cases
- Night shifts are 8 hours
Additional Information
- Experience in management or charge nurse/technologist role is required
- Electronic Medical Records systems used: Cerner & McKesson PACS
- Scrub color: Teal
