Job Opportunity: Manager of Diagnostic Imaging

Location: Santa Cruz, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Manager of Diagnostic Imaging for a travel assignment. The role involves managing diagnostic imaging operations with a focus on CT technology.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging management
• Active BLS certification
• ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications
• Valid California state license for the specialty

Key Responsibilities & Work Environment

• Manage diagnostic imaging services including CT scans
• Oversee 2 scanners: Siemens Sensation 64 & GE 16 Light Speed
• Handle 10-20 scans per shift; evenings are the busiest
• Work schedule includes holidays with hours similar to weekends, rotating shifts
• Night shifts covered by Nighthawk radiology service (radiologist not onsite 24/7)
• Floating within Radiology department
• Orientation includes 3-4 floor-specific shifts
• Patient types include ER patients, virtual colonography, gated procedures, and general CT cases
• Night shifts are 8 hours

Additional Information

• Experience in management or charge nurse/technologist role is required
• Electronic Medical Records systems used: Cerner & McKesson PACS
• Scrub color: Teal
