Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
Location: Watertown, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7 PM - 7 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Schedule Requirements:
- 12-hour shifts
- Weekend, holiday, and on-call required
- Must be comfortable floating to Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Required Qualifications
- Current New York RN license
- Coronary Care experience required
- Minimum 1 year of prior travel nursing experience (must have completed at least one successful travel assignment)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire
- Previous hospital RN experience preferred
Job Responsibilities & Skills
- Provide quality patient care with thorough knowledge of nursing principles
- Assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
- Recognize safety issues for self and others; safely use lifts and move patients
- Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation abilities
- May be required to assume charge nurse duties
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Additional Information
- Must comply with a 100-mile radius rule for RN travel
- Night shift hours are from 7 PM to 7 AM
