Case Manager (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract
Location: Santa Monica, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday to Friday
- Scheduled day off: To be determined
- No weekends or on-call required
- No floating between units
- Charting system: Epic
- Attire: Business professional
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of case management experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks: Must be current within 30 days of start, including Social Security Trace, 7-year criminal history, sex offender search, FACIS level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG searches
- Education Verification: Diploma or official transcripts required to verify BSN or MSN
- Competency Exams: Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
- Facility-Specific Documents:
- Photo for badge (high-quality, recent, professional headshot)
- Confidentiality Agreement
- HIPAA training and acknowledgment
- Annual OSHA and other required online training modules with proof of completion
- Abuse reporting acknowledgments (Elder, Child, Domestic)
- Access request forms and other onboarding paperwork as required
- Physical Exam: Must be current within 1 year and updated annually
- Immunizations & Health Screenings:
- Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (TSPOTs and PPDs not accepted)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination within past year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titers or proof of vaccination (2 doses) required; low titers require boosters
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination within past year
- Seasonal Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct-Mar) or signed declination
- COVID-19: Monovalent vaccine dose after 9/12/2023 or signed declination required
- Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (Aya requirement)
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are eligible if experience requirements are met
- No weekend shifts or on-call duties
- No floating between units required
- All required documents and certifications must be uploaded and current prior to start
- Facility requires strict adherence to onboarding timelines for access and credentialing
