Registered Nurse (Neuro Telemetry) - Chandler, AZ
Job Details
- Unit: D4 Neuro Telemetry
- Beds: 28
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Hours per week: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 3-4 patients
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 2 days floor-specific orientation
- Float: Every other weekend plus first to float; may float to a sister facility
Patient Population & Care
- Neuro post-surgical patients, post-craniotomy, spine cases, and CVAs post TPA
- No ICP monitoring required
- Centralized telemetry; RNs must be able to interpret EKGs
- No ventilator patients
- Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
- Charge nurse role available without patient assignment
- Clinical supervisor in a management role
- Patient care technicians (PCTs) ratio: 1 per 16 patients
Required Certifications & Exams
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (max 2 attempts) via RELIAS
- Pass/fail sterile field exam on day 1 of orientation (study materials provided)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Neuro Telemetry (within past 6 months)
- COVID-19 vaccine required or approved religious/medical exemption with documentation

- Scrub color: Navy
- No IV team on unit
- Emphasis on sterile technique and telemetry skills
