Job Overview

Role Summary

• Assists during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile surgical field and providing instrumentation to the surgical team.
• Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Supports patient safety, room turnover, instrument preparation, and sterile processing tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NBSTSA certification

Key Work Expectations

• Knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique and AORN standards
• Ability to maintain sterile field integrity and respond to contamination risks
• Competency or progress toward competency with Tier 1 surgical cases
• Effective communication with the perioperative team, including participation in briefings, debriefings, and time out process
• Ability to work promptly, under stress, and to deadlines while caring for patients
