Description

Registered Nurse — ER

Job Overview

  • Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
  • Weekly hours: 36
  • Contract length: 12 weeks

Schedule & Assignment Details

  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
  • Call: None
  • Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • RTO limit: Maximum 7 days
  • Holidays: May be required to work major holidays during the assignment period
  • Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Georgia
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
  • Color blind testing
  • Competency exam
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam

Compliance & Onboarding

  • Full compliance is required to start on time
  • Background check must be complete before start
  • Education verification is required
  • Work history verification of the most recent employer is required
  • Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
  • 2 clinical references required
  • Photo ID required
  • Physical exam required
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required
  • TB questionnaire required
  • Drug screen required
  • Flu vaccine or declination required
  • Tdap is highly recommended
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation are required

Additional Notes

  • Unit accepts first-time travelers
  • Clinical review is case-by-case before final manager decision
