Required Qualifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- 2 years of experience in the specialty
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Ability to titrate Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
- Ability to interpret EKG
- Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam before acceptance
- Ability to complete day 1 pass/fail onboarding skills validation
Additional Considerations
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Will consider Level 2 trauma experience
- Must have been away from CommonSpirit as permanent staff for 12 months to be eligible
- Cannot work another assignment or contract at the same time
- Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
- Must have own vehicle if traveling as a team
- Men must be clean shaven for fit test
- Floating may include Med/Surg Tele units and possibly Westgate or AZ General Laveen
- Charge nurse role includes a light patient assignment
- Weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
- Unit uses central monitoring
- No vents on the unit
- RT and pharmacy are available 24/7
- Floor orientation is 2 days
- Common patient types include trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psych issues, and brain tumor
