Description
Candidates not currently holding an active Hawaii RN license must apply for licensure upon offer acceptance and obtain the Hawaii license before the assignment start date.
Medical or religious exemption requests will not be accepted in place of documented proof of immunity.
Position Overview:
Flex RN will float between multiple medical and surgical units as needed.
Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
36 scheduled hours per week following orientation

Experience Requirements:
2–10 years of RN experience required
Certifications:
Required: BLS
Preferred: ACLS, PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC

Cardiovascular Unit (occasionally)
Unit Details:
Medical Unit: 77 beds
Laulima Unit: 18 beds
Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds
Patient Ratios:
Medical Unit: 1:6 (Days/Evenings), 1:8 (Nights)
Laulima Unit: 1:6
Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
Ratios may vary based on census and staffing needs.
Dress Code:
Professional nursing attire; clean scrubs required.
Orientation:
Unit-specific orientation provided for each assigned department.

12-hour shifts - Night (1845 to 0715) - Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.

Meditech EMR; pyxis; wound vac; chest tubes.
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
2-10 years’ experience
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
BLS, ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC)
Floating to other units/departments.
Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions)
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
Medical - 77; Laulima (surgical Acute) - 18; Cardiovascular Unit - 15
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
Medical 1:6 for days and eves, 1:8 for nights

Ratio may vary due to unexpected leaves
