Job Summary

Heywood Hospital is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week contract assignment. The Echo Tech will perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound examinations, evaluate cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics, assist cardiologists with diagnostic procedures, and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities
Perform adult echocardiograms utilizing 2D, Doppler, and related imaging modalities.
Evaluate cardiac anatomy, function, and hemodynamics.
Perform measurements and calculations to quantify cardiac function.
Identify and report abnormal findings to cardiologists.
Assist physicians during Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
Operate stress testing equipment and perform EKGs when needed.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely report completion.
Troubleshoot PACS and imaging equipment issues as needed.
Clean and disinfect ultrasound equipment and probes according to facility standards.
Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program.
RDCS (AE) Certification Required.
Current BLS Certification Required.
Minimum 5 Years of Recent Echo/Cardiac Sonography Experience.
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, arrhythmias, and cardiac medications.
Experience with Meditech preferred.
Ability to work independently and prioritize patient care needs.
