Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) | Nights
Facility: McLaren Bay Region
Location: Bay City, Michigan
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (48-hour guarantee may be accepted; overtime begins after 48 hours)
On-Call: None
EMR: Cerner
Dress Code: Navy Blue
Patient Ratios: ICU 1:2, or 1:1 for special populations

Position Overview
McLaren Bay Region is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a 13-week ICU contract. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience, open-heart experience, and the ability to float to the Emergency Department (ED) and Step-Down Unit as needed.

Responsibilities
Provide bedside nursing care and carry out physician orders.
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Monitor patient conditions and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
Coordinate and delegate nursing assignments to appropriate team members.
Communicate relevant patient information clearly and effectively.
Support patient education, discharge planning, and transfer coordination.
Participate in patient conferences and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Mentor and guide new employees, students, and ancillary personnel.
Maintain professional growth and follow evidence-based nursing practices.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
Open-heart experience.
Willingness and ability to float to the ED and Step-Down Unit.
Active Michigan RN license at the time of submission.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
