Description

One of the nation's largest diagnostic imaging providers, with more than 300 locations throughout nation, has an immediate need for an experienced PET/CT Technologist. This company has a tremendous reputation for innovation and state of the art equipment in a modern and patient friendly setting!
Type: Initial 13-week contract
Schedule: Mon-Fri (4x10 or 5x8)
Location: chedule split between Manhattan and Brooklyn throughout the week
You Will:
Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
Must have current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Must have BLS certification
Must have venipuncture certification/permit.
Mitchell Martin Healthcare Job ID #26-45684. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
