Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Shift Details
- Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (17:45 - 6:15)
- Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation)

Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or ENPC accepted in lieu of PALS for Emergency Room nurses
Licensure
- Primary source verification required (NURSYS for Missouri licenses)
- No local candidates accepted within 75 miles radius
Scheduling & Work Conditions
- No on-call requirement
- No floating outside scope of practice
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued ID required
- Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide and nationwide)
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
- State-specific searches and checks as applicable
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, opiates, oxycodone, PCP)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually; facial hair must allow proper fit
- Annual flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (09/30 - 04/01)
- Negative TB screening (2 PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold within 1 year)
- Immunity or vaccination documentation required for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
- Tdap vaccine or declination required (expires every 10 years)
- Hepatitis B declination required (not mandatory vaccination)
Required Documentation & Compliance Training
- Employment application
- Two professional references (supervisors preferred within last year)
- Unit-specific skills checklist within 1 year of start (Oncology skills checklist required if applicable)
- Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology and unit-specific exams
- Annual HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policy acknowledgements
- Regulatory compliance education completed annually via online training platform
- Badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
- Background and state-specific registry checks as required

- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Locals within 75 miles are not accepted
