Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Job Description
- Provide respiratory therapy services during night shift hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Fit Test (respirator mask fit testing)
- 10 Panel Drug Screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
- Immunizations and Health History:
- COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date (titers not accepted)
- Varicella vaccination or IgG titer
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) for TB screening; if positive, chest x-ray required per regional guidelines
- Specialty Specific Competency Testing completed within the last year
- Skills Checklist (provided by agency for clinical contractors)
Professional and Background Checks
- Signed Code of Conduct form
- Signed Confidentiality and System Security Agreement
- Signed Integrity and Audit Services form (signed shortly before start)
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure form
- Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years) including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
- Education Verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
- OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
- Joint Commission CORE Exam within the last year
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days, including aliases and statewide checks for Michigan if applicable
- System Access Form completed and uploaded one week before start
Additional Notes
- Resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references are required for submission.
- All required documents must be scanned and uploaded to the credentialing system prior to or at onboarding as specified.
- No prior travel experience is required for this position.
