Registered Nurse - Oncology

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in a 25-bed Oncology Care Unit
Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:5
Unit staffed with unit secretaries and techs (PCT available on most shifts)
Documentation system: Meditech
Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, working every third weekend
Newly renovated unit with updated call bell system, vital sign machines, scales, and IV pumps
Dress code: All navy
PTO: One 1-day and one 1-night shift granted at a time

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, with oncology experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS certification
Ability to access portacath

Additional Information

CPR certification required by hospital policy
Unit offers a supportive staffing environment with tech availability on most shifts
