NICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Akron, Ohio
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night shift, 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1.5 years of experience)
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Academy of Pediatrics or American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Background check
  • Fingerprinting
  • Education verification
  • Primary source license verification
  • Nursys verification
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask clearance within 12 months of start
  • Tdap vaccination/documentation
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunization documentation
  • Drug screening
  • Flu vaccination/documentation
  • Eye exam
  • 2 references from recent employment
  • Employment application with prior work history
  • Annual skills checklist

Facility Notes

  • Baseline competency testing is completed during orientation
