Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12 hours per day
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

  • Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team in Labor and Delivery.
  • Must be comfortable floating to Post-Partum 1-2 shifts per week.
  • Work involves high acuity and high-risk Labor and Delivery cases at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries/month).
  • Circulating experience is required; scrub experience is preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC STORK system is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa.
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Experience working with high-risk patients.
  • Experience within the previous year at larger high-volume delivery centers with 200-300 deliveries per month.
  • Post-Partum experience.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Certification from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
  • Certification from the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have completed multiple travel contracts (preferred).
  • Must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible.

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Orientation Dates

Orientation sessions are scheduled on multiple dates from July through November (specific dates provided during onboarding).


Overtime & Call Details

  • Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply.
  • Call back and on-call pay available.
  • Charge/precept pay available.

Notes for Candidates

  • Candidates will be contacted via phone/text from a 405 area code for interviews.
  • Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required.
