Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D)
  • Shift: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12)
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: As required by facility
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Number of Openings: 7

Unit Information

  • Unit Type: Labor & Birth
  • Number of Beds: 15 labor beds, 7 antepartum, 4 pre/postpartum
  • Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:1 or 2:1 (estimates, not guaranteed)
  • Equipment: External fetal monitoring
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC
  • Float Requirements: May be required to float to postpartum unit

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2 years of labor experience at a hospital that delivers 350-400 monthly
  • Post Partum experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
