ICU RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Location: Attleboro, Massachusetts
- Employment type: Travel/Contract

- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
- Unit: 14-bed ICU
Role Summary
Experienced critical care RN needed for a night ICU assignment caring for medical and occasional post-surgical patients, including ventilated and pressor-dependent cases.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Telemetry experience
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Continuous IV sedation
- Procedural Sedation Administration

- Cerner experience

- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

- Procedural sedation administration
Patient Population / Unit Details
- Medical ICU patients with conditions such as alcohol withdrawal, acute respiratory distress, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, and COVID
- Occasional surgical cases, including VATS, carotids, and CEAs
- Typical acuity includes vented patients, pressors, arterial lines, and chest tubes
- Staffing ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
- ICU serves as code team and rapid response team

- N95 fit test
- Tdap documentation
- TB screening
- MMR immunity documentation
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination

- Flu vaccination or approved exemption
- COVID vaccination or approved exemption
