Travel RN – Pediatrics

Job Overview

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Unit focus: Pediatrics and oncology
Bed count: 19 total beds
Patient ratios: 1:3, 1:4, 1:5

Schedule / Assignment Details

Orientation: 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts, including 2 Saturdays

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Pediatrics (2 years of experience)
Pediatrics experience within the last year
BLS
PALS
APHON

Preferred Experience

Pediatric hospital experience
Pediatric oncology experience

Unit Notes

At least 1 oncology nurse is staffed each day
Common equipment includes Alaris pumps
Floating may include PICU and NICU

Work Environment

Best fit is detail-oriented and organized
Tobacco use is prohibited on campus properties

Dress Code

RNs wear navy, white, or a combination of navy and white
