Travel RN – Pediatrics
Job Overview
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
- Unit focus: Pediatrics and oncology
- Bed count: 19 total beds
- Patient ratios: 1:3, 1:4, 1:5
Schedule / Assignment Details
- Orientation: 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
- Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts, including 2 Saturdays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Pediatrics (2 years of experience)
- Pediatrics experience within the last year
- BLS
- PALS
- APHON
Preferred Experience
- Pediatric hospital experience
- Pediatric oncology experience
Unit Notes
- At least 1 oncology nurse is staffed each day
- Common equipment includes Alaris pumps
- Floating may include PICU and NICU
Work Environment
- Best fit is detail-oriented and organized
- Tobacco use is prohibited on campus properties
Dress Code
- RNs wear navy, white, or a combination of navy and white
