Job Overview

Location: Thornton, Colorado
Employment type: Travel

Hours per week: 36
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

Cardiac experience
Prior Meditech experience

Unit Details

Progressive Care unit
24 beds
Patient ratio: 5:1
Day shift staffing includes charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2-3 PCTs
Night shift staffing includes charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2 PCTs

Clinical Focus

Post-op recovery for surgical and cath lab patients
Post-op orthopedic patients, including spine and joint cases

Work Environment

Tele monitoring and post-op monitoring equipment
Friendly, outgoing, teamwork-oriented unit culture
Brand new state-of-the-art unit
ADA/Bari rooms and Hoyer lifts available
Variety of patient populations, including elective ortho, spine, GYN surgeries, cath lab procedures, stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, respiratory failure, and cardiac drips
