Description

RN ICU - Pediatrics

Location

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Job Summary

  • Provides nursing care in a hospital setting for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
  • Core duties include patient assessment and monitoring, medication administration, IV and blood product management, documentation, patient/family education, coordination of care, and delegation to support staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • 1 year of PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • CVICU experience
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CVICU experience
  • NICU experience
  • Level 1 experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program

Skills

  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
  • Some computer skills
